About Siwocco Wellness
Siwocco Wellness opened its doors to the Spuiweg 138-140 in Dordrecht in 2009. The Wellness Centre, that provides besides authentic traditional Thai massages also other professional treatments, is managed by Prayong. She was born in Thailand near Bueng Kan and was educated, just like all our other masseuses, at the “Wat Po Thai Traditional Medical School” in Bangkok. Prayong wants as many people as possible to enjoy traditional Thai massage.
Thai massage
Wat Po is a Buddhist temple of the reclining Buddha in Bangkok and the birthplace of traditional Thai massage. The origins of authentic traditional Thai massages date back more than 2500 years to Dr. Jivaka Kumara Phaccha. In Thailand, they honor him as the father of traditional medicine and they say a short prayer “Wai Khru” to remember and honor him before the massage is given. The pronunciation of his name in Thai sounds like Siwocco. By giving the authentic traditional Thai massage to our customers we honor Dr. Jivaka (Siwocco).
